terms and conditions

These Terms & Conditions explain how I work with you when you order a made-to-order piece from my shop. By placing an order, you’re agreeing to these terms.

placing your order

When you place an order, I’ll send you a confirmation email with all the important details: design, materials (always sterling silver), pricing, estimated delivery timeframe, and more.

The piece is only officially yours when your payment clears and your order has been confirmed.

made-to-order pieces

Every piece is lovingly handcrafted in solid sterling silver (925), made especially for your requirements.

Because of that, your order cannot be cancelled or changed once it’s confirmed.

If something unexpected comes up, just get in touch right away and I’ll do my best to help, but please note I can’t promise changes once I start making the piece.

pricing

All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Any shipping costs will be clearly shown at checkout.

payments

I accept a variety of ways to pay—cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc. Your payment must be received in full before production begins.

In case there’s a payment issue, I’ll reach out to you directly to sort it out.

production & shipping

Made-to-order silver jewellery takes up to around 4 weeks to make. I’ll keep you updated as your piece takes shape.

Once it’s ready, I’ll post it off and send you tracking details.

Unless otherwise stated, shipping costs are your responsibility.

refunds & exchanges

Since each piece is handmade to order, they’re not eligible for returns or exchange.

If something arrives damaged or not quite right, get in touch within 7 days of receipt with photos. I’ll do my best to make it right.

faulty items

Every piece is handmade in sterling silver, which means you may spot subtle marks from the making process, these aren’t faults, they’re part of the piece’s story and charm.

I aim for perfection, but if something’s genuinely wrong, I’ll happily provide a fix, repair, or replacement at my discretion.

cancellations

Once your order is confirmed and I’ve started crafting, it can’t be cancelled.

If production hasn’t begun yet, I’ll let you know and issue a refund but minus any card fees or reasonable costs already incurred.

sterling silver care

Sterling silver naturally oxidises (darkens) over time. A gentle polish with a silver cloth will bring back its shine.

Avoid harsh chemicals, perfumes, or prolonged exposure to water to keep your piece looking its best.

I’m not responsible for tarnishing, wear, or damage caused by improper care.

your privacy

Your information is safe with me. I’ll only use it to deliver your order and keep you in the loop.

intellectual property

Designs, sketches, photographs are all mine, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please don’t copy them.

law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by UK law, and any disputes will be handled within the UK courts.

contact me

If you've got any questions, reach me via the contact page on the website and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Hello, my name is Chloe and I am the maker behind Studio
Askew, currently based in Nottingham, UK. I am a self‑taught jeweller, beginning five years ago in my parents’ shed.

To me, jewellery is self‑expression forged in metal, something you carry with you
every day as a small declaration of who you are. Each pieces holds emotional
weight, whether it has been passed down to you or chosen as a reflection of your identity.

The name Studio Askew comes from an adoration of the
imperfect, an ode against the mass‑produced. My work is a nod to analogue,
transforming the raw essence of the sketchbook into reality, each piece hand‑carved and holding the subtle
marks of its making.
